Instagram may presently launch a subscription characteristic that will let creators charge their fans for exclusive content. The prices of these in-app purchases range from $0.99 to $four.99.
According to research firm Sensor Tower (via TechCrunch), Instagram added these in-app purchases to its United states of america App Shop listing last calendar week. It start added the $4.99 option on November i, with the $0.99 option following a couple of days after. Users in the UK take also reportedly spotted the new Instagram Subscriptions.
Instagram doesn't explain the purpose of these in-app purchases, at least not but yet. But they should do what the name implies, i.e. serve as a style of monetization for creators. Users will be able to subscribe to their accounts for exclusive, subscriber-only content.
